ECsc provides following services
- Safety Assessment for cosmetic products
- Technical documentation for new raw materials for different regulatory authorities
- Testing strategy for cosmetic products and raw materials
- Planning and conducting individual tests including in vitro tests
- Writing and checking of package labels
Data needed for - safety evaluation of cosmetic products
- Names of individual ingredients (if possible by INCI names and/ or with CAS numbers) and their concentrations as percentages. The same concerns the mixture of perfume used for a product.
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on ingredients obtained from a raw material distributor.
- Description of the room prepared for manufacturing cosmetics (see enclosed a short resume on GMP) (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Packages (if the assignment includes checking of packaging labeling).
- Completed agreement with ECsc Ltd (the form will be delivered by request).
Good Manufacturing Practice
- A suitable room for the manufacture of cosmetics
- Capable personnel (knowledge of chemicals and their handling).
- Hygiene requirements throughout the whole manufacturing process including personal hygiene
- Raw-materials purchased from reliable suppliers and with MSDS
water quality - Stability (durability) of cosmetic products (needed for packaging labeling)
- Quality control (microbiological tests)
- Packaging batch number (lot) in order to trace a possible non-conformity product
- Audits (the reports should contain all the observations made during the manufacturing process)
